Photoshoot: Nijihara Ink (1/8 Scale by Kotobukiya)

Second photoshoot down the hatch and since summer’s coming up for me, I may start doing photoshoots more often instead of only once a week like I’m doing now.

Favorite English sentences from the Moetan books?
When I fell in love with the her, I thought that the girl was my stepsister. I bet if I had known she was my real sister, I would not have fallen in love with her.

The characters should be composed of childhood friends, girls with glasses, robotic maids and sisters.

I love how one of the incentives to buy the Moetan books was so that you would be able to get into college.. too bad those sentences would never work for the UC Admissions process. >.>.

So if you haven’t read the title already, this week’s photoshoot will be Nijihara Ink from Moetan, a series of English learning books popular in Japan. It teaches you English through examples from anime and computer games. It’s a fun read if you’re well versed in English, as there’s so many sentences that just don’t make much sense in English. So why am I taking pictures of Nijihara Ink and not Pastel Ink? Because “She is the moeest of lovely English teacher in the world!” ^_^

Specs:

Name: Nijihara Ink (虹原 いんく)
Place of Origin: Moetan (もえたん)
Company: Kotobukiya
Sculptor: Hiromitsu Morikawa
Release Date: December 2007

Hit the jump for the pictures.

There’s not really much to say about Ink. Her pose is nothing special and the quality of the figurine is pretty decent, although mine had a few paint blemishes and a little paint chip on it (not sure this is just a manufacturing error or if it’s in every figurine). The base is simple – clear plastic with two pegs to hold her leg to the base. At first I was worried about her being supported on only one leg, but I found out that she can stand by herself without the base at all!

If you’re a fan of Moetan, I recommend you pick this up. If not.. well, if you want yet another random high school girl to add to your figure collection, here she is.

Next time: A invaluable class from a certain DS RPG series (Hint: Sequel comes out June 17th!) makes her way through the park… erm.. I mean forest of doom!

  2. To make the jump link, first get to the place in the post where you want to make the jump. Then switch from Visual to HTML (you should see the tabs next to the Add Media buttons). Once you’ve switched, click on the “More” button. You should see something pop up. And that’s pretty much it.

  3. This one is SO cute :o
